The Wind Warrior is an established one-design class with unique design features contributing to its international appeal and success.

With the general appearance of a modern race yacht it inherits the clean look and performance of the real thing, yet features fundamental to radio yacht design have been incorporated to provide a well-balanced all-rounder.



The shaped sails and the tapered anodised mast provide an efficient rig with several adjustments, which can be tweaked, for different sailing conditions. This provides a challenge for the most experienced yachtie or an ideal learning tool for beginners.

Being designed in New Zealand for local conditions means the Wind Warrior is just as much at home in salt or fresh water, strong or drifting winds and choppy or flat seas. The unique hatch system provides instant access to the batteries, switch and radio components as well as efficient water proofing. The hollow keel-fin catches any stray water and prevents it from harming either electronics or sailing performance.

Specifically designed to be easily transported, the mast is unstepped and secured to the deck in seconds and restepped equally quickly without tools.



All yachts are carefully produced to be identical, providing excellent class racing while the generic styling bears similarly to many popular keel boat classes allowing an individual look to be created through colours, graphics and window shape.

As the Wind Warrior is a “one-design” class no modifications are permitted for racing and all parts and sails are hand-made by us to maintain a high standard and constant product.
